Technology is a powerful tool for changemakers and storytellers.
In this Tech Features section, we share interesting technology tools that we feel can enhance the dialogue potential of the 1000 Voices Archive, help viewers to understand how we as diverse communities "are all connected," or help us communicate better together.
Our first Tech Feature is The Brain, a dynamic "mind mapping" tool (sometimes called "knowledge management software"). While The Brain has many uses, we think that this tool is an interesting software for leaders who want to create customized presentations of the 1000 Voices Archive. With it, you can organize and highlight selected videos for use in trainings and other education venues. Smart use of this tool will allow trainers, educators, and presenters to respond to questions with "just the right video" and build fluid conversations at the click of a button.
In simplest terms, think of The Brain as a Powerpoint program on steroids, or an Excel sheet that provides limitless ways to organize themes and ideas at the click of a button.
The Brain offers their own tutorials, "top uses," and webinars on their software. They also offer a free download of their "Personal Brain" version of the program with the basic features of their program. So start experimenting, and let us know how you're using the software--we might even showcase your use on our homepage.
