December 2007, Arlington, VA -- Films from the 1000 Voices Archive were shown before plenary sessions to 550 of the nation's leading immigration advocates, organizers, and other experts gathered to discuss issues faced by low income immigrants. The conference, titled Bridging Communities: Renewed Strength and Promise, focused on developing strategies to bring together communities of common concern.

Past NILC conferences had been highly praised for building momentum on innovative themes to build a national agenda on important immigrants' rights issues. This year's conference and best practices sessions, with the aid of the our films, was similarly galvanizing. 1000 Voices is proud to have been part of it.
