Information Collection
1000 Voices Archive is the sole owner of the information collected at www.1000VoicesArchive.org. 1000 Voices Archive collects information from its users at several different points on this website.
News Distribution Lists
When you sign up to receive targeted newsletters and updates, you must submit your email address. These email addresses are used exclusively for distributing said newsletters and updates. You have the option of removing your email address from any e-distribution list at any time, which removal will be effective automatically, immediately, and permanently (unless or until you decide to sign up again at some time in the future).
Traffic Analysis
When you visit pages on www.1000VoicesArchive.org, our web server records only the number of visitors, time visited, and length of time spent on our site per visit. This is an extremely common practice, and is necessary for us to design the best, most usable web site possible.
Credit Cards and E-checks
Starting in 2008, when you make a donation to 1000 Voices Archive via our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, you will of course be required to submit certain billing information, such as a credit card number, in addition to the contact information associated with that billing account. This information is collected and processed directly by Fractured Atlas, and transmitted via secure, encryption methods, and is securely stored in a database. Credit card and bank account numbers are stored in an encrypted format, ensuring that, in the extremely unlikely event that someone were to gain unauthorized access to this database, this information would be unusable by the unauthorized party.
Information Use by 1000 Voices Archive
Information submitted through this website to 1000 Voices Archive will be used:

– in the aggregate, as a means for us to understand more about our web community and its needs
You have the option of removing your address from any list at any time. Like most standard web site servers, we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track users movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Third Party Information Use
We do not share either email addresses or individual or aggregated demographic information with any sponsors, program partners, or other outside organizations.
